Welcome To Our Foundation!

The Americal Legacy Foundation is a non-profit, 501 (C) 3 corporation dedicated to honor the legacy of the Americal (23rd) Infantry Division during its three unique periods of activation in the United States Army: In the jungles of the Southwest Pacific during World War II, the jungle environment of the Panama Canal Zone during the Cold War and the rugged jungle terrain encountered in the Vietnam War. Each time the division has been activated, it has occurred outside the continental United States and the division has always received a mission in a jungle warfare environment, which earned for the Americal Division its special moniker, “The Jungle Warriors”

With the generosity of individual and corporate donations, the Americal Legacy Foundation seeks to preserve the division’s legacy through monuments, public media, museum displays and scholarship programs.
