The approval process at Fort Sill and the Department of the Army is now complete. Final approval was signed off on in early January 2016 by the U.S. Army’s Installation Management Command. We received acknowledgement via email from the Fort Sill Museum Director on January 7th. The formal notification came by mail on January 13th.

Ft. Sill Monument Update

The planned Americal Division artillery monument at Fort Sill is to be placed at an outdoor memorial site known as Constitution Park.   The monument will be gifted to Fort Sill and the Department of the Army by the Americal Legacy Foundation, the entity now responsible for all future Americal Division monuments.   The gifting packet is now at the Department of the Army for its final approval.

2016 Calendars Delivered On Time

The Americal Legacy Foundation mailed the 2016 editon of the Americal Calendar to all current members of the Americal Division Veterans Association just after Thanksgiving Day.  The calendar features photographs depiction the activities of the division during all periods of activation. 

The calendar is a major fund raising device for the foundation.  Thanks to your generosity the foundation will be able to move forward with memorial construction in the new year.

Americal Legacy Foundation Website - Mission Accomplished

The Americal Legacy Foundation web site was planned to be fully functional as of September 1, 2015. Mission accomplished – the web site was actually up and running ahead of schedule, August 13, 2015. Our goal of having the web site communicate the Americal Legacy Foundation’s mission and goals to educate site viewers about the legacy of the Americal Division is alive and well.
